If individuals possess personalities, then buildings embody values. The rightful owners of these values are each and every one of you. We hope you to nurture your dreams and ideals here, learning to harmonize and connect with one another. Our commitment is to support you to shine your talents.
First of all, we will strive to make our dormitory to be comfortable place for you.
Your moments of rest should be relaxing, and above all, safety is the priority. We will focus on various disaster preparedness training, conduct thorough hygiene and facility inspections, and work to identify and eliminate any potential hazards. Additionally, we will make efforts to foster emotional stability for all dormitory residents and cultivate positive relationships among everyone.
Our dormitory, consisting of the 1st Dormitory (Woongbi House, established in 2000), the 2nd Dormitory (Biryong House, established in 2006), and the operation of the 3rd Dormitory, is committed to offering you with a safe and comfortable environment. With facilities such as restaurants, convenience stores, computer rooms, study rooms, laundry rooms, fitness rooms, and lounge areas, and various activities like yoga and physical fitness group programs, we aim to provide enabling you to enjoy your life with friendship while dedicating yourself to your studies.
In our dormitory, we will ensure that the rules essential for a community are well observed.
Sometimes, when interacting with people who are different in various ways, etiquette required for communal living can be ignored, and a lack of consideration for others can lead to conflicts. Additionally, cultural differences among students from various countries may result in unintentional misunderstandings. However, fostering mutual understanding and coexisting harmoniously is beneficial for everyone and lays the foundation for collective development. We will strive to uphold the values that our dormitory community should adhere to.
Our dormitory aims to activate your diverse participation.
A dormitory is not just a space to stay; it is crucial that students actively participate in various programs to enhance their sense of accomplishment. We will organize special lectures for job support, run RA (Resident Assistant) programs to assist new students, provide snacks during exam periods, host YouTube competitions, and screen movies to nurture cultural sensitivity. We encourage you to participate in these programs, as your involvement can lead to a sense of achievement.
Dormitory residents!
In the book "The Class," the talent development program of Harvard University is introduced. We hope that our Woongbi House and Biryong House will be remembered as places where outstanding talents were nurtured, similar to Harvard's Adams House or Eliot House, which global leaders aspired to enter. We will continue to contemplate and spare no effort to move forward in a better direction for this purpose.
Thank you.
Myung-Woo Lee, Director of Inha University Dormitory
